Spent some time today getting the website up to date. You may not have notice many changes just yet, but one change that is obvious, are the "Recent Topics" at the top of the page. These are taken from our Discussion Forum, that some of you may have not even visited yet. It is the place where your voice can be heard, and where you can stay up to date with what is going on, specifically for updates to the reunion (at the moment), as well as any other updates we need your participation in. Please take a few moments to at least read the posts in the forum as they become available.
Also, I've configured the site to update any pictures you might put up in your profile. You will see your "avatar" in the Login area of the site (upper left), as well as in the forums when you make a post. If you already had a picture, please upload it again to make sure it gets updated.
Finally, and the main reason for updating the site, the "Forgotten Password" link is now functional. Instead of passing those requests to me, if you have lost your password, the system will automatically generate a new password for you to use. Also, if you have any updates to your profile, such as a change of email address, use the profile link to edit your profile and make those changes under "contact information". You can also change your password here, in the case that you had to have it reset!
In order to update your email address info, go to your profile by clicking "profile" at the top left of any page (if you are logged in). From there, pass your mouse over "edit" and click on "update your profile". From there, you will see several tabs. Your email address is kept under the "contact info" tab. Please make sure we have an up to date email address, as this is where any password resets are sent. All reunion updates are also sent to this address, so make sure it is accurate. As a side note, this is the area where you can change your password as well.
Please email me with any problems you have, if you run across any. I've tested it pretty thoroughly, and all appears to be working.
Also, if you are part of Class of 1987, and plan to make reunion this year, make sure to contact Candy Galvano, so that she's aware of how many people to plan for!!! You can reach her by email at candyjim2000@comcast.net
