Welcome to SoHi !

This site is dedicated to the best of higher education, and our experiences in one of the United States best high school's, Soldotna High School, located in Soldotna, Alaska. Many of us have gone on to accomplish great things, and have not seen or heard from our fellow classmates in some time. This site is open to all students, staff, family and friends.

After thinking about all the trouble it has been to keep in touch with classmates, I had an idea. A place that everyone can remember, and come to catch up with each other, www.soldotnahighschool.com. One place for all classes to find out what everyone's been up to. I remember going to my class of 1987 ten year reunion and wondering, what ever happened to some of those from class of 1986, 1988 and 1989? Then I thought, a simple web community would be easy to throw up and get everyone together! Please let us know how we're doing by emailing us!

vista256_12.jpg Website ideas

Hey all. Just wanted to put an update out here, things have been very busy lately, therefore not much has been done on the website to make needed improvements. Life is starting to slow down a bit for the upcoming holidays, and I should have a bit more time to sink in to the site design, and I have a couple of ideas people may or may not be interested in.

I found a component that is much like a "flip-book" with pages that can be flipped, etc. The nice thing about it is, I can publish JPG like images, though I had PDF in mind. I was thinking about scanning some of the yearbooks in and posting them out here. Please let me know what you think about that, and if it goes over well, I've only got the 1985 and 1986 yearbooks, and could use some help obtaining the others in either JPG or PDF format. I'll know more once I get one done. Please post your comments here on our discussion forum as to your ideas, and if you can help out or not.

Also curious to hear from the classes of 1988 and 1998 about your upcoming re-unions next year. I know it's still pretty early, but it would be good for you to get started on something around the beginning of 2008 or so, just to be ahead of the game a bit.

Any other ideas are welcome. Please let us know how we are doing as well!

  • Barbara Shipps : Hey class of 1989!  A few of us were talking, and wondering if anyone was thinking of planning our 20 year reunion?  Reguardless, we should encourage any classmates that we are in touch with to register here so that we can start getting everyones' addresses.  Nobody likes last minute travel plans, so lets get this thing started!
